
Back in the good 'ol days, things were much simpler. Fast lane? Naw.... Today, things have become more complicated in every area of our lives. The mindset of buying and selling real estate has readjusted as well. We are no longer trying to keep up with the Jones' but focusing on a place to call home with a stronger concept on how to create retirement through real estate instead of drawing away from it with credit cards and cash out refinances. Back in the early 1900's, a man was expected to buy a home for his family. A man "was to provide". Homes didn't appreciate back then, they depreciated just like the cars. It all changed in the 1960's. Appreciation came into place. The forms for loans began to become more demanding. The postage stamp went from 2 cents to three cents. (I thought the world was coming to an end.) The way homes were sold changed as well. The one thing that hasn't changed, people still want a home. They want something to call their own. One that reflects their way of life. Freedom to choose is the American Way. This photo is of Opa, my grandfather.
